With the help of the Copy Circuits command, the Revit user can quickly Copy elements to a circuit.

In Revit:

  • In a 2D view (Plan or Elevation), select elements to be copied.
  • In the ribbon, navigate to the BIMrx tab >> BIMrx MEP panel >> Copy Circuits command:

Copying Circuits:

  • If there is no active selection of a circuited element, you will be asked to select a circuited element and finish the selection. After the selection is made you will be prompted to select an origin point and a destination point, if in an elevation view select the origin level first, then the destination level. The vector created by these two points will determine where the selected circuits and their elements are copied to. The elements will be copied and re-circuited to the same panels that they were copied from.

Copying Panels:

  • If there is no active selection of one or multiple electrical panels, you will be asked to select panels and finish the selection. After the selection is made you will be prompted to select an origin point and a destination point; if in an elevation view select the origin level first then the destination level.  The vector created by these two points will determine where the selected panels and their circuit’s elements are copied to. The panels will be copied and all the circuits along with their elements will also be copied and re-circuited in the same order as the original panels.
